Cutwater, a Danish finance management firm, has entered a partnership agreement with the Finnish software company BasWare. The agreement allows Cutwater to market, sell, implement and support BasWare's financial management software solutions in Denmark. BasWare's products also include a consolidation tool based on International Reporting Standards which all stock exchange listed companies in Europe have been obliged to use as of 1 January this year.

Ole Pedersen, managing director of Cutwater says that BasWare has developed and supplied budget and reporting solutions for some of Scandinavia's largest companies in the last 10 years: " We are convinced that we have found a strong alternative to the current products on the market", he adds.

So far Cutwater has focused on supplying process optimization in finance departments of large companies, as well as managing financial functions of consultancy and service companies. According to Ole Pedersen, the time is ripe for the company also to sell IT solutions. The news is reported by ComputerWorld.
