DTU enters research collaboration agreement with Beijing University

The Technical University of Denmark and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications have signed a research collaboration agreement to develop shared research projects

The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) have signed a research collaboration agreement. The aim is to develop shared research projects and to exchange lecturers, researchers and students in IT and telecommunication. BUPT is a leading university in research and training in IT and telecommunication. It has 13,000 students and offers a number of advanced programmes.

DTU head Lars Pallesen said in a press release: "By entering an agreement, we have ensured students and researchers at both universities have the opportunity to benefit from the most outstanding training and research in telecommunication. Globalisation becomes an example of both involved universities gaining something positive which also greatly benefits our students".

DTU focuses strongly on research in IT and telecommunication at its COM institute which collaborates with telecom giants such as Nokia, Motorola and Tellabs on developing new communication services. The news was reported by professional journal Ingeniøren (The Engineer).
