Recently published data from IMS Research shows that Denmark's Milestone Systems has a 16% share of the world market for open platform IP video surveillance software

Recently published data from IMS Research, a leading market research provider for the global electronics industry, shows that Denmark's Milestone Systems has a 16% share of the world market for open platform IP video surveillance software. This makes the company the world market leader in terms of market share. The data also shows that on the EMEA market, Milestone Systems has a dominant position with a 38.6% share.

Lars Thinggaard, managing director of Milestone Systems, says the company's strategy of forming key industry partnerships has proved a success. Milestone Systems recently became a strategic partner with Panasonic, and in the last six months the Danish firm has entered partnership agreements with JVC and Cisco.

Milestone Systems was founded in 1998, and in 2003 was on Deloitte's list of the 500 fastest growing companies in Europe. Milestone Systems is based in Brøndby near Copenhagen and employs 55 people. In 2006, the company expects to expand its workforce with 30 new staff. The news was reported by national daily newspaper Berlingske Tidende.
