Denmark will host the world's largest fair for offshore wind power in Bella Center, Copenhagen, 26-28 October. The Danish Wind Energy Association, the Confederation of Danish Industries and the Danish Energy Agency are the organisers of Copenhagen Offshore Wind 2005, which will have 107 exhibitors from 10 countries, and more than 800 delegates.

Bjarne Lundager, director of the Danish Wind Energy Association says: "The aim of Copenhagen Offshore Wind is to increase our knowledge and learn from each other. It is also important that international framework conditions for offshore wind energy are made, so that it will be easier to set up wind parks and exploit wind power on the sea".

Figures from the most recent Market Watch published by the Danish Wind Energy Association, show that Denmark produced 94% of the offshore capacity commissioned by the end of September 2005.

Bjarne Lundager continues: "We would like to show the world that Denmark has the most advanced and competitive technology. We are leaders in offshore technology which will be very important in the future". The news was reported by Industriens Dagblad.
