Aalborg Energie Technik (AET), a northern Jutland based engineering company specialising in development of biomass fuelled CHP plants, increased its turnover by 66% in 2004/2005 to DKK 164 m (USD 26.2 m). Deliveries to the German market and for two large CHP plants in Austria contributed to the growth in revenues. AET also increased its number of staff significantly in 2004/2005.

In its annual report the company writes: "International analyses confirm that the market for efficient exploitation of biomass will have a positive growth rate for several years to come". The Danish firm expects the result for 2005/2006 to be on a par with the figures for 2004/2005.

AET supplies high tech biomass fuelled CHP plants for the industrial and energy sectors. The company develops, commissions and service process steam plants and CHP plants fuelled with biomass such as wood chips, wood waste and bark. AET also offers consultancy and maintenance activities in the operation and optimising of existing plants. The news was reported by financial daily newspaper Børsen.
