Capetronic Europe A/S, part of the stock exchange listed Grande Holding, has leased a factory in Pandrup, northern Jutland to start production of flat screens

Capetronic Europe A/S, part of the stock exchange listed Grande Holding, has leased a Flextronics factory in Pandrup, northern Jutland to start production of flat screens, initially for the European market. Denmark is Capetronic's first production location in Europe. The flat screens will be sold under Capetronic's own brands such as Akai.

Production is expected to start in November with about 30 people employed, but over the next six months the number of staff is expected to grow to at least 100. Kurt Attermann, managing director of Capetronic Europe A/S says: "Our expectations of the future are very positive and far above previous expectations. We are seeing considerable interest for the company in the market."

The factory in Pandrup is ultra-modern and optimal for production of electronics products. There are several reasons why China's Capetronic could succeed with its first European production location. By producing inside the EU, the company avoids 14% EU customs duty, and parameters such as quality, closeness to customers and delivery time are also important parameters, the management says. The news was reported by financial daily newspaper Børsen.
