Kontrapunkt, a Danish design company based in Copenhagen, has developed a new logo for Microsoft's business software Microsoft Dynamics. Kontrapunkt was chosen to design the logo in competition with leading American design companies, which might lead to a global breakthrough for the Danish firm.

"We are proud to have made a logo which could become one of the most well-known in the world," says Bo Linnemann, director and owner of Kontrapunkt, who adds that it is a complicated process to develop a logo which can sustain recognition and sell globally. The logo must fit into a variety of cultures and be cleared legally so that it does not look like other company logos. Kontrapunkt has collaborated with Microsoft over four months to develop the logo which will signal simplicity, growth and order.

"There is a visual identity in Microsoft. This is a giant project for Microsoft and it is amazing to be part of it," says Bo Linnemann. The news was reported by ComOn.

Kontrapunkt has developed identities for organisations, multinationals and states for 20 years. The company provides a full range of design and brand strategic services. Clients include Adidas, LEGO Group, Novo Nordisk, European Commission, Danske Bank Group and Carlsberg Breweries.
