HP's Danish subsidiary, HP Denmark, increased its revenues by 16% in 2005/06, more than three times the market growth rate
HP's Danish subsidiary, HP Denmark, increased its revenues by 16% in 2005/06, more than three times the market growth rate of 4-5%. HP Denmark generated more sales than forecast for all product groups except printers. On the market for storage, HP saw extraordinary good results with its market share rocketing from 27% to 40%.

Walther Thygesen, director of HP Denmark says: "We have also gained market share on the server and PC markets, while our share of the printer market is unchanged at 50%." HP increased its printer sales in volume terms, but since prices dropped at the same time, revenues were largely unchanged. HP's share on the market for servers rose from 47 to 50%, while its market share for PCs nudged up from 27 to 28%.

HP Denmark has not yet disclosed any specific figures from its 2005/06 accounts, but Thygesen says that profits will be reasonable. The Danish subsidiary forecasts a 10% increase in revenues this year. The news was reported Computerworld.
