Denmark's IO Interactive today launches Hitman Blood Money, its 4th game in the popular Hitman series. The computer game has attracted major interest before the launch and is forecast to generate DKK 1 bn (USD 170 m) in revenues. IO Interactive has spent more than two years developing Hitman Blood Money with 100 programmers and designers working on it, and has invested DKK 80 m (USD 13.6 m).

USA's PC Gamer, one of the world's largest and most respected computer magazines, has reviewed Hitman Blood Money prior to launch and says it's the best Hitman game to date. The magazine gives it a score of 85 out of 100, and the much sought after 'must buy' designation.

IO Interactive is based in Copenhagen and develops advanced computer games for the global market. The firm's products are represented on all major formats such as PC, Xbox, PS2 and GameCube. In 2004, Eidos, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, acquired IO Interactive for DKK 250 m (USD 42.5 m). Six million copies of the Hitman game series have been sold worldwide. The news was reported by Erhvervsbladet.
