Microsoft Corporation's CEO Steve Ballmer is to address students and entrepreneurs Friday this week at the IT University of Copenhagen, and will also visit the Microsoft Business Solutions HQ in Vedbæk

Microsoft Corporation's Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer is to address students and entrepreneurs Friday this week at the IT University of Copenhagen, where Microsoft occupies the 5th floor of the building which also houses a part of Innovation Lab. Mr Ballmer will speak on globalisation issues and the future development of the IT industry, before continuing a European mini-tour that also takes in Germany, France and Belgium.

Steve Ballmer will also meet with a number of partners at Microsoft Business Solutions' HQ in Vedbæk, north of Copenhagen, which employs 850 people and is for the moment still Microsoft's largest development centre outside of Redmond, WA. Ballmer has made a point of visiting Denmark each year since Microsoft acquired Navision in 2002.

The IT University of Copenhagen, founded 1999, is a teaching and research-based tertiary institution which is funded to undertake both pure and applied research into the interaction and growing importance of IT to society. The University offers a range of courses in IT including M.Sc. courses, Masters courses and a part time graduate diploma course.
