Komplett, a leading Norwegian player in internet shopping yesterday opened komplett.dk to offer IT equipment, telephones and white goods to Danish customers. Komplett also operates in UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Ireland, Sweden and Norway.
Gyrid Skalleberg, finance director of Komplett comments: "In Denmark a good deal of web shopping is run via price comparison sites where you do not necessarily get an overview of the widest product range. We can offer that. And whereas our other new markets send goods from a warehouse in the Netherlands, Danes gain access to the main warehouse in Norway where we can supply from day to day."
Komplett has employed Danish staff to handle the new net shop and customer service. "We always try to create a local connection because although the products are identical on all markets, customers are very different", says Skalleberg.
Komplett has more than 1,200,000 registered customers, and in 2005 generated revenues of USD 322 m. The company is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. The news was reported by Idag.
