Århus based Stibo Group has sold its Stibo Graphic Software division to the US IT company Amdocs, in order to focus more attention on its core business areas

Århus based Stibo Group has sold its Stibo Graphic Software division to the US IT company Amdocs, in order to focus more attention on its core business areas. Stibo Graphic Software has a staff of 70 people and develops and sells software solutions to telephone directory publishers in Europe.

According to Stibo Group CEO Hans Damgaard, the time was right to sell: "We had the right buyer and our goal is to focus our business in the two areas where we wish to be strong in the future, namely printing and software solutions for newspaper, catalogue and magazine publishers".

Amdocs has about 14,000 employees and offices in more than 40 countries worldwide, and is the market leader of solutions for print and online directories. The company has for some time been seeking to strengthen its profile in the European market and position itself for continued growth. Amdocs contacted the Stibo Group after a thorough analysis of the European market and its players.

The Stibo Group has recently expanded its business with the new division CCI Magazine, which develops software solutions for magazine publishers, and with the acquisition of the company Knowbody that develops software solutions for optimizing graphical production processes. The news is reported by financial daily newspaper Børsen.
