Telecompany Debitel Danmark is rumoured to be up for sale

Debitel Danmark is reportedly up for sale, with a price tag reckoned to be in the region of DKK 1.3 bn
Telecompany Debitel Danmark could be on its way into foreign hands, according to Berlingske Business. The telecompany, which has 450,000 subscribers in Denmark, is estimated by sources in the industry to be worth something in the region of DKK 1.3 bn (USD 221 m).
Debitel is owned by the capital fund Permira, and is part of a chain which has companies in Denmark, France, Holland, Germany and Slovenia. It is reported that Permira now plans to focus its attention on the German market.
Denmark's big telecom player TDC could be considered a possible buyer, but its dominant market position makes such an acquisition unlikely from a competition regulations perspective. Among other possible buyers Berlingske Business points to Sonofon's Norwegian owner Telenor, Sweden's Telia, and three further un-named possibles including a capital fund.
