Texas Instruments (TI) in Denmark, with divisions in Aalborg and Lyngby, has seen impressive growth over the last three years and has doubled its workforce. TI Aalborg specialises in electronic chips for devices including mobile phones, TVs and flat screens, and is a world leader in wireless technology, while TI Lyngby specialises in developing audio chips.

Jens Christian Lindof, research and development director of TI Aalborg says: "Our technology is highly sought-after and we are first with the new chips. We are looking at how small and advanced a chip can be made, and we are making rapid progress. We are also one of the largest chip producers in the world."

Because of the firm's continued growth, TI Denmark constantly needs more engineers. TI Denmark's MD Kim Breum-Christensen comments: "We do a lot to profile ourselves and we have gradually become known for our wireless technology in Aalborg and our development of audio chips in Lyngby. We are also able to keep our staff, and that says something for our working environment." TI Denmark collaborates closely with Aalborg University and the Technical University of Denmark.

The news was reported by Danish Technological Institute.
