UK based Gladstone plc, a leading provider of membership software and services, has acquired a 60% stake in Danish IT company Valuenetics, based in southern Jutland. The Danish firm, which specialises in web-based interactive booking/ordering systems, plans to enter new markets abroad following the deal with Gladstone.

Said Ziai, chairman and CEO of Gladstone says: "Our investment in Valuenetics is a natural extension of Gladstone's current activities. It allows Gladstone to leverage its core competencies and market position and helps Valuenetics to enhance its current services to all its customers, and extend developments into other markets."

Gladstone is headquartered in Wallingford west of London, and generates revenues of approx. DKK 100 m (USD 17 m) annually. The UK company supplies membership management systems for the leisure industry. Werner Kuhn, MD of Valuenetics comments: "The largest fitness chains in UK are already using our booking portal, and now we are suddenly getting access to all the others, just as we expect that our other systems can be sold via Gladstone's sales network." The news was reported by Erhvervsbladet and on Valuenetics' website.
