Danish fashion company Bestseller has hired supermodel Gisele Bündchen to be the face of its Vero Moda brand from August 2007 and a year ahead. Gisele Bündchen has earned USD 33 m over the last 12 months, making her the world's highest paid model according to financial magazine Forbes.
Britt Bennett Hansen, head of marketing at Vero Moda says that the company has put a lot of effort into signing the Brazilian supermodel, who has worked for seriously chic names including Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino and Victoria's Secret. Gisele Bündchen will feature in advertising for Vero Moda throughout Europe. Bennett Hansen says: "We have sealed a deal which serves Vero Moda really well – I hope it will serve all of us".
Bestseller is based in Brande, Jutland, and employs more than 15,000 people worldwide. Bestseller’s clothes and accessories are sold in Europe, the Middle East, China and Canada mainly through the company's chain stores, but also through more than 12,000 independent retailers. Brands include Vero Moda, EXIT, Jack & Jones, Name It, Selected, VILA and Outfitters Nation. The news was reported by national daily newspaper Berlingske.
