Columbus IT, a Danish technology consulting and software development company, has gained an order from the American football team Dallas Cowboys based in Irving, Texas, to supply an integrated ERP* solution for managing the team's companies and business processes. America's Team currently has a USD 1 bn stadium under construction, and the NFL club also has a giant franchisee business which needs to be streamlined.

Michael Gaardboe, group chief executive of Columbus IT says: "To gain a customer like Dallas Cowboys shows that we are spot on with our strategic focus on vertical solutions for the specialised industry. The US retail trade needs fully integrated, tweaked and scalable vertical solutions, and Columbus IT covers that need. The agreement can open doors both to the specialised industry in North America, but also to the entire entertainment industry because Dallas Cowboys is a sports empire with an amazingly strong brand."

The order includes developing a complete solution based on Microsoft Dynamics AX at the core, and to develop IT technical services for the new stadium.

Columbus IT offers consultancy on the market for integrated company solutions based on Microsoft Business Solutions, primarily for SMEs. The company employs 1,000 people and has offices in 28 countries. Columbus IT is headquartered in Brøndby, near Copenhagen. The news was reported by ComON.
