Sitecore, which supplies web content management systems, has considerably boosted its awareness ratings having landed its first Fortune 500 customer
The 6 year old Danish IT company Sitecore, which supplies web content management systems, has considerably boosted its awareness ratings in the US, having its first Fortune 500 company - Sara Lee - as a customer.

This has resultingly brought Sitecore to the attention of the influential independent US based analysis bureau CMS Watch, which in its latest report rates Sitecore among the top 5 suppliers on the world market for medium sized companies in the US. That rating puts Sitecore's product up with the likes of Microsoft's CMS system, Ingeniux, Ektron and Serena, and also puts it within range of future competition with EMC's Documentum and IBM's Websphere.

Sitecore's MD Michael Seifert says that the landing of Sara Lee as a client and the classification in CMS Watch brings considerable market opportunities, since Sitecore CMS will now automatically be considered when medium sized companies and organisations scan the market for website management systems.

In the six years it has existed, Sitecore has delivered average annual revenue growth of 50%. The company employs 55 staff and has offices in Denmark, the US, UK, Netherlands and Germany. The news was reported by financial daily newspaper Børsen.
