Danish software company Interse has gained a DKK 22 m (USD 3.7 m) investment from Northzone, a leading Nordic venture company. Interse plans to use part of the investment to open an office in the US during the next six months, and a development centre in Krakow, Poland.

Interse has developed an information management software programme, iBox, which makes unstructured information easily accessible for all staff in a company across departments, regardless of where the information is placed or its format. iBox's search and filtering capacity has previously been reported to be  20-100 times more efficient than competitor products.

Arve Johan Andresen, partner at Northzone says: "It is a very interesting firm which has developed a unique technology. There is a great interest in the company's products so we think the timing is right."

Interse is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. Customers include NATO, Deloitte, Pfizer and Novartis. The news was reported by financial daily newspaper Børsen.
