Norway's Data Respons establishes development centre in Århus  

Norway's Data Respons ASA which recently acquired Denmark's Embedit, is establishing a new development centre in Århus, Jutland
Norway's Data Respons ASA, which recently acquired Denmark's Embedit, a company developing advanced electronics and embedded software, is establishing a new development centre in Århus, Jutland. Kurt Godsk, technical director at Embedit, which will change its name to Data Respons Denmark says: "We have taken on the first people and plan to have about 20 in a year's time. It will be an independent design centre."
Data Respons has ambitious objectives for growth in Europe. Kenneth Ragnvaldsen, managing director of the company says: "We aim to be a leading supplier in embedded systems in Europe by 2010. We are working on achieving that objective step by step." After acquiring Embedit, Data Respons will have similar sized development units in Denmark and Norway, which also will supply products and services to the company's operations in Sweden, Finland and Germany.
Embedit A/S was founded in 2000 and is one of Denmark's leading companies in embedded hardware and software. Clients include Novo Nordisk, MAN B&W Diesel, Thrane & Thrane and Kiss Networked Entertainment. Data Respons supplies embedded solutions to leading OEM suppliers in a range of market segments. The firm is listed on Oslo Stock Exchange. The news was reported by professional journal Ingeniøren (The Engineer).
