Software AG chooses Copenhagen as its new north European HQ

Germany's Software AG, a global leader in mission-critical software infrastructure solutions, is placing its new north European headquarters in Copenhagen
Germany's Software AG, a global leader in mission-critical software infrastructure solutions based on open standards, has chosen the Danish capital Copenhagen as the location of its new north European headquarters.
 
The current managing director of Software AG in Denmark, Ole Kock, has been appointed senior vice president for the global organisation. He has been with Software AG since 1995 and has responsibility for markets in the Nordic Region, the Baltic states and Benelux.
 
Software AG, which among other things produces database solutions and software for mainframe systems, has its sights set on reaching revenues of EUR 1bn (USD 1.4 bn) by 2010, and views Denmark as an important part of that strategy.
 
Software AG considers Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) as its primary business area for the future, and has ambitions to be the market leader in SOA within the next 5 years. The news was reported by Computerworld.
