Sweden's FormPipe Software has acquired EFS Technology, a Danish software company specialising in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions, for DKK 42 m (USD 8 m). EFS Technology has a leading, proprietary ECM software product, LaserNet, which optimises business communication between companies. LaserNet is used for designing, converting and distributing ingoing and outgoing documents in all formats.
Christian Sundin, CEO of FormPipe Software, says the acquisition gives the Swedish company a broader international presence, with access to a well-established partnership network.
"EFS perfectly matches our acquisition strategy. It is a stable and profitable company with a strong market position and it has a unique competence in its business area. We see great opportunity for continued growth and increased synergies in our ECM activities." "With its LaserNet product, the company has developed into a strong player in the ECM area with established sales channels inside and outside Denmark – for example in Germany and Great Britain."
EFS Technology is based in Brøndby near Copenhagen. Customers include Telia, SCA, LeasePlan, Tamro, Peugeot, DHL and Panasonic. FormPipe Software develops and supplies ECM products for structuring information in large companies and organisations. The company has offices in Stockholm, Uppsala and Linköping, and is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
