Swedish Business Intelligence software supplier QlikTech is moving into larger premises in Denmark as part of an offensive to increase growth on the BI market
Swedish Business Intelligence (BI) software supplier QlikTech is moving into larger premises in Denmark as part of an offensive to increase growth on the BI market. According to IT research firm IDC, QlikTech was the fastest growing BI supplier worldwide in 2006, with revenues rocketing by 80%.

Kenneth Nørgaard, country manager of QlikTech in Denmark says: "We need more space for our staff and to train our Danish partners." Over the next year, QlikTech plans to double its number of staff in Denmark.

Brian Troelsen, senior analyst at IDC says that QlikTech is the third largest supplier in Sweden, while in Denmark and the other Nordic countries its market share is minute. "But QlikTech is known for having simple products and relatively low prices compared to leading suppliers, so the opportunities are there on the Danish market."

QlikTech was founded in 1993 at Ideon, a science park in Lund, Sweden. The company developed
a method, AQL (Associative Query Logic), that makes it possible to load and combine data from several databases. AQL was patented in 1994. The news was reported by Computerworld.
