Danish design firm VOLA opens trade showroom in central London

VOLA, which specialises in taps and accessories for kitchens, bathrooms and showers, has opened an international trade showroom just off Oxford Street in central London
Classy Danish design company VOLA, which specialises in mixer taps and accessories for kitchens and bathrooms, as well as shower systems, has taken the plunge despite the recession and opened an international trade showroom just off Oxford Street in central London.
VOLA has a particularly illustrious reputation with Danish consumers, as the firm has special connections with the legendary Danish designer Arne Jacobsen, whose chair designs especially are held in high regard the world over. The collaboration between Jacobsen and VOLA began in 1961, and lasted until Jacobsen's death 10 years later.
VOLA's plans with its showroom in Great Portland Street are not confined to presenting products; they want their premises also to function as a meeting place for architects and their clients, where they can avail themselves of the opportunity to view and discuss optimal tap fitting solutions with expert VOLA staff.
VOLA's initiative is based on the observation that many international projects are created on the drawing boards of architects in London, and many of their clients visit them in London for project meetings. So VOLA is stepping in to the frame by offering a stylish venue for such meetings. The new London premises will also host a range of special events on the themes of architecture, design and culture.
