Entrepreneurial firm Teklatech raises venture capital

Danish entrepreneurial company Teklatech has gained a DKK 5m investment from five business angels and Vækstfonden
Despite the ongoing economic crisis and general lack of venture capital, Danish entrepreneurial company Teklatech has managed to raise a DKK 5m (USD 950,000) investment from five business angels and Vækstfonden, a Danish government-supported investment fund, reports financial daily newspaper Børsen.
Teklatech has developed an advanced software product, FloorDirector, which enables chip designers to reduce problems that occur due to internal electric noise in the chip. The DKK 5m sum will be used to increase the sales force and marketing to relevant international chip manufacturers.
Founder and director of Teklatech, Tobias Bjerregaard told Børsen: "The business potential of using our software is that companies developing chips can save days, weeks or even months by using our software in the development process. Because now they don't have to complete the development work on a chip before they can start measuring whether the limit values for noise have been exceeded. They can measure this during the development process and continuously change the design to level out noise."
Teklatech recently completed development of FloorDirector 2.0, which is currently being pilot-tested by a number of chip manufacturers.
