EQT Expansion Capital, part of the Swedish private equity firm EQT Partners, has invested a multimillion sum in Danish wind energy supply chain company Skykon
EQT Expansion Capital, part of the Swedish private equity firm EQT Partners, has invested a 'three digit million' sum in Danish wind energy supply chain company Skykon, the Århus-based company has announced on its website. The founders of Skykon will maintain majority control, with EQT taking an active role in further developing the company.

In the news release, Skykon CEO Jesper Øhlenschlæger writes: “We are very happy to welcome EQT Expansion Capital as investors into Skykon. The combination of financial resources and the experience from developing companies on an international level will be a great help in realizing our ambitious growth plans.”
 
Skykon has two business platforms, one providing turbine tower solutions and the other manufacturing composites for blades. According to the company's statement, it will continue its current strategy to develop and grow the two business platforms. Skykon employs a total of 420 people and has an annual turnover of approximately DKK 1.1bn (USD 218m).
