Wrist Ship Supply, part of Wrist Group A/S based in northern Jutland, is continuing its expansion, this time with establishment of offices in Piraeus, Greece, and Hamburg, Germany, reports financial daily newspaper Børsen. The aim is to pave the way for growth on these markets.
Kim Weidemann, director of Wrist Ship Supply says: "To expand our presence in Germany and Greece is vital for consolidation of our position as a market leader on the ship provisioning market in Europe."
Wrist Ship Supply has made four acquisitions in the last eight months alone. The company plans to double its size in three to five years via acquisitions and mergers worldwide. With revenues of DKK 1.5bn (USD 290m) and 100,000 stock items, Wrist Ship Supply is one of the three largest players in the industry.
"We are on our way into a new phase of globalisation, and that sharpens the appetite for new ways of operating a business in the shipping industry. Optimisation that can increase earnings and efficiency is constantly in focus," says Weidemann.
According to the director, Wrist Ship Supply can deliver anything, anywhere, at any time. The company specialises in supplying items to locations that are logistically difficult to reach or where the delivery has to be made at very short notice.
