Danish Computer Game Industry Leaps Forward

2010.07.08
Despite the financial crisis, Danish computer games are doing very well, with a 4% increase in revenue in 2009.
Manager of the Danish Producer Association, Klaus Hansen, confirms that the Danish computer game industry is seeing intense growth figures, and explains that about 60-70 grass root companies are about to enter the market. With an annual turnover of DKK 380 million, the industry is half the size of the Danish movie industry, and has a 10% annual growth according to Deloitte.

Mr. Hansen believes there is a great opportunity for even larger growth scenarios in the future: “Private investments are essential. So right now we need to get public funding to create a boost  in interest among private investors.”
