Denmark Second Best Digital Economy in the World

IBM and the Economist Intelligence Unit's ranks Denmark no.2 in the world in their annual "Digital Economy Rankings"
The report benchmarks 70 countries on 'e-readiness' - the ability to convert digital opportunities for the social and economic development - and assesses the quality of a country's ICT infrastructure and the ability of its consumers, businesses and governments to use ICT to their benefit.

According to the Danish Minister of Science, Charlotte Sahl-Madsen, Denmark's high rank can be explained by the fact that digital solutions in Denmark are widespread and that the population has excellent skills in exploiting digital opportunities.
With a target of 100 Mbit broadband to all Danes, the Danish government continues to make a serious effort to ensure that Denmark preserves its position as a world-class e-ready economy, adds Charlotte Sahl-Madsen.
