Denmark ranks on top of Forbes Magazine’s prestigious global league table of “Best Countries for Business” - for the third year running.

In both 2008 and 2009 Denmark ranked first on Forbes Magazine’s list of “Best Countries for Business” and comes out on top once again in 2010.

Personal freedom and minimal corruption in a high-tech innovation society

Denmark excels by having a minimal level of corruption, strong personal freedom and favorable property rights. But also when it comes to access to modern technology and innovation, Denmark is at the forefront.

A modern market economy with a state-of-the-art industry

Forbes Magazine also takes special notice of the equitable distribution of income, the comfortable living standards and balance of payments surplus that characterize Denmark.

“This thoroughly modern market economy features a high-tech agricultural sector, state-of-the-art industry with world-leading firms in pharmaceuticals, maritime shipping and renewable energy”, Forbes Magazine notices in its report.
