Copenhagen Airport

rated as Europe’s most efficient

Once again it is made clear that Denmark has one of the best airports in Europe. For the sixth time in the past eight years Copenhagen Airport has been rated Europe’s most efficient airport by the Air Transport Research Society (ATRS), an academic forum consisting of professors from different universities worldwide.

ATRS studied statistics from 156 airports all over the world and the award for Europe’s most efficient airport, which Copenhagen Airport shares with Oslo, is based on the airport’s exploitation of their own operations.

“Through our close collaboration with airlines and handlers we are able to constantly improve our services and efficiency. This is very important in the competition with other European airports as it plays a big role in our ability to attract new routes, and it is undoubtedly one of the reasons for the high passenger satisfaction ratings of Copenhagen Airport,” said Henrik Peter Jørgensen, VP, Communications for Copenhagen Airports in a quote on the website of Copenhagen Airport.

Satisfied passengers

Furthermore, more than 120,000 interviews conducted by Copenhagen Airport each year show that 96% of the passengers are satisfied or very satisfied with their experience at Copenhagen Airport. The interviews also reflect that the passengers are generally highly satisfied with the check-in facilities, in particular those passengers who check in on a self-service kiosk, the internet or their mobile phone.

Copenhagen Airport is by far the biggest airport and distribution hub in Scandinavia, located eight kilometers southeast of the Copenhagen city center, with direct connections to 140 destinations worldwide.
