Exciting investment opportunities and innovative business ideas are at the centre of the third annual European Venture Contest Energy. The competition is part of the European Venture Contest (EVC) that finds the top 25 emerging companies through a Pan-European competition every year.
For the third year in a row, the EVC Energy will take place in the Danish city of Horsens, this year on the 9th of October. The event aims to unite 30 emerging companies and 25 investors active within the sphere of energy efficiency for a day-long pitching, networking and idea sharing spree.
The EVC Energy has established itself as a leading matchmaking event for clean technology entrepreneurs and investors. Presenting entrepreneurs get 8 minutes each to pitch to a panel of Expert Jurors consisting of independent VCs, Corporate VCs and Business Angels. Every pitch is followed by a 7-minute Q&A from the jurors.
Insero and Vitus Bering Innovation Park are arranging the competition in cooperation with Invest in Denmark and the municipalities of Horsens and Aarhus. The EVC Energy is one of the semi-finals in the EVC, organized by Europe Unlimited. This means that the best ideas will go on to compete in the grand EVC finale in December.
New Academy Day Added
For the first time, the EVC energy will be preceded by an ‘academy’-event on the 8th of October. The purpose of the Venture Academy Day is to sharpen the investment readiness appeal of the presenting entrepreneurs, and allow time for networking and sharing of ideas.
