Suzlon: Global Headquarters

The Indian windenergy company, Suzlon Energy, chose to locate their global headquarters in Denmark.

Why Denmark?
"Denmark is global leader in know-how for wind-energy. That is why our global head quarter will be here."

Tulsi Tanti
Chairman
Suzlon Energy Ltd (India)

“Denmark is the world’s leading Wind Energy hub. We could have placed our global headquarter anywhere in the world, but Denmark is the obvious choice when it comes to Wind Energy.
The Danish competencies within this field are unsurpassed and by locating here, we have direct access to an abundance of world-class know-how.”
Per Hornung Pedersen
CEO
Suzlon A/S (Denmark)

The reasons for choosing Denmark:

  • Availability of highly qualified employees within the Wind Energy sector

  • Denmark’s recognised position on the global Wind Energy market, providing invaluable industry brand-equity
  • Easily accessible World-class know-how within the Wind Energy industry

  • High level of moral and sense of responsibility among employees
  • Extensive international experience among working population
  • Safe and well-functioning working environment

The new global headquarter, Suzlon Energy A/S, officially opened in the beginning of 2005. of becoming top league.
The Indian company, which focuses its production on on-shore wind turbines, had revenues of USD 400 mn in 2004 (estimate).
