Q1 interim report from GN Store Nord reveals soaring pre-tax profits

Denmark's GN Store Nord has published its Q1 interim report revealing profits before tax of DKK 170 mn, a 70% increase on Q1 2004

Denmark's GN Store Nord has published its Q1 interim report revealing profits before tax of DKK 170 mn (USD 28.9 mn), a 70% increase on Q1 2004. Revenues increased by 10.6% to DKK 1.36 bn (USD 231 mn). GN manufacturers and markets products for personal communication including hearing instruments, corded and wireless headsets, and audiologic diagnostics equipment used to test people’s hearing and sense of balance.

GN's sales of mobile headsets made particular progress with revenues nearly doubling to DKK 292 mn (USD 49.6 mn), of which OEM sales account for 42%. GN's management maintains its expectations for annual pre-tax profits of DKK 725 – 775 mn (USD 123 mn – 132 mn), and a turnover of approx. DKK 5.7 bn (USD 969 mn).

GN Store Nord is headquartered in Ballerup close to Copenhagen. The company has businesses, offices, factories and development centres in 23 countries, and employs 4,500 people of whom 3,700 are based outside Denmark. GN Store Nord is listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
