New Centre for Entrepreneurship to be established in Århus(2002.08.23)Århus plans for a new generation of entrepreneurs to boost business in the regionComputerworld Online reports today that a new Centre for Entrepreneurship is to be established in the IT-enclave of Katrinebjerg in the city of Århus, Jutland. The initiative involves a number of players including Århus University, Århus Business School and the Engineering College, as well as local and regional government. 50% of the finance is being provided by the EU.
The principal aim of the Centre is to ensure that the commercial potential of new innovations in IT and biotech are realised. Experienced entrepreneurs will be on hand to provide detailed guidance on business plan development, financing, marketing and sales. It is anticipated that the newly trained entrepreneurs graduating from the Centre will establish themselves in the region and thus increase both entrepreneurial activity and business development in the Århus region.
